Meet Suzanne Deasley
Owner of Pixel Mediary
I’m Suzanne, a full-stack software engineer with more than 20 years of experience in web applications & business systems development and a passion for photography, videography, graphic design, and visual storytelling. Through Pixel Mediary, I help businesses build websites, develop custom applications, and create visual content that reflects who they are.
My work starts with understanding your business: what you want to accomplish, what gets in the way, and who will use what we build.
Experience that supports your business
Throughout my career, I’ve developed applications for individual users and complex, multi-tier systems for corporate environments. My experience spans multiple industries, with a strong focus on web applications, user interface and experience design, and business systems.
That range matters because every project has different needs. A small business may need a straightforward website and a dependable point of contact. Another organization may need an application that connects information, supports several teams, or replaces a time-consuming manual process.
I bring the same care to both: listening closely, defining the work clearly, and considering how the finished solution will be used and maintained.
Work built to last
Some of the most meaningful feedback I’ve received concerns how well my work continued to serve people over time.
In a LinkedIn recommendation, a colleague at the Rhode Island Department of Education described a directory system I developed as a foundation for the department’s organizational data.
Another recommendation describes software I developed for programming and testing an Insulet device controller. The colleague reported that it served the team for more than 15 years and highlighted the supporting documentation, ongoing updates, and attention to detail.
Those experiences reflect what I value in software development: useful systems, careful implementation, and support that extends beyond delivery.

Education and technical foundation
I studied at New England Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2004 earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. My education, combined with more than two decades of hands-on software delivery, informs how I approach technical challenges and turn business needs into working applications.
I have continued my technical education through workshops, courses and keeping up with technical documentation to stay on top of changing technology trends. This includes areas such as Secure Coding, Advanced SQL, Anthropic's Claude AI training to name a few.
A creative perspective
Photography and videography give me another way to help businesses communicate. I enjoy capturing the people, details, and moments that make each business distinctive.
That creative perspective also influences my approach to websites and applications. How something looks, how clearly it communicates, and how easily someone can use it all deserve attention.
Pixel Mediary brings these interests together, allowing me to support both the technical and visual sides of a business.

Based in Rogersville, Tennessee, I offer remote services and travel to customer locations within 60 miles for in-person work. Consultations are free and by appointment.
